Vultures in Action

So, when I come up from pasture in the evening, I head straight for the bird pen so I can get milked.  I have to say, if I'm not fast, that Haley gets there before me.  She obviously does not understand the order.

When I get in there and the human starts milking, that's when the vultures show up.

It's really a bit ridiculous.  The human needs to do something about this.

We have vultures!

They are vultures, I tell you.

If you don't believe me, just wait until you see them in action tomorrow.

P. S.  The human wanted me to tell you that she is planning on cleaning and re-bedding the birds now that the white peahen is off the nest.

Me's Marley Dad

Me's Marley Dad be's stayin' wif me's half a big brofer, Fionn.

They be's hangin' outs and hafin' fun.

But me's Marley dad be's upsets wif the human.

He says, "Me's not stinkierest buck nos more.

Why's won'ts you rub me and hugs me and snuzzles me?   Hmmmmm?????"

She tells him maybes in another months or twos or more...

I Might Have to Strike Again

I know rain makes the grass grow and yadda yadda, but this is just wrong.

I can't believe she would expect us to eat out of a pan that looks like this.

Granted, most of them aren't quite that bad, but still...

It's the geese.  They play in the pans as soon as there's a drop of water in them.  Look at those webbed foot prints.

They are positively wallowing in happiness with the wet.

 Dang geese.  Dang mud.

Dreaming

I'm not really lying in the barnyard basking in the sun.  I'm just dreaming of basking.

We're horribly muddy in the barnyard.  Yes, I know it makes the grass grow, but we still don't like mud.  We like basking.
