Hibernating

We've decided to go back to hibernating until spring.

Really.  There's no other way to deal with the cold, blowy weather.

Hibernating

We've decided we might just hibernate until spring.

"Go away.  I'm trying to nap here," says Sugar

Meg

That would be the best thing.

Muffin and Jelly

But we'll still come out for supper.  Definitely.

"Hey, Human!  Did you bring me some treats?" Cookie wants to know.
And treats, too.  Yep.  That's our plan.

A Good Scratch

Jelly seems to have found the perfect place to fix her itchy behind.

Aw, relief!

A Different Model

This is the Jelly Leaf Vacuum.  She's cute, just like the Casey model.

She's not as efficient though.

A Jelly Roll

Sometimes Jelly just feels like a good roll in the grass!

Don't we all.  If I were younger, I'd be enjoying that too.

Jelly, the Yoga Master

Muffin's girl, Jelly, is something of a yoga master around here.

She has endurance to hold a position for, well, almost forever!

Interloper

What does Jellly see?

What does Maggie see?

Do you see what Maggie sees?

We were being watched!

Darn interlopers in our pasture.  Where's our guard llama?

Dreaming

I'm not really lying in the barnyard basking in the sun.  I'm just dreaming of basking.

Me
We're horribly muddy in the barnyard.  Yes, I know it makes the grass grow, but we still don't like mud.  We like basking.

Maisie
Muffin and daughter Jelly
If Minnie tried rubbing her face on the ground today (see the marks in the dirt), she'd be packed in mud.

Minnie Pearl

Why does rain have to make mud?

Where Jelly Went

When the human weaned Jelly, she was with me and a few other mature girls in half the barnyard.

The human made a couple comments about us not letting Jelly eat any grain, and she took her to be with kids her own age. Now she's with Fionn, who doesn't mind sharing his hay.

She's also with Bonnie and Blaze and Victoria.

She's also with Haley and Harley, Cinnamon, and Coral and Clover.

They all seem to get along pretty well up there.

That's good because it's one less kid to have trying to sneak my grain.

I wonder if the human would put those mini goats up there if we didn't let them eat...
