Melting

We're positively melting.



Dolly can't even manage to smile for the camera.



Look what those geese do to stay cool.  Yes, the stinking human really has that many geese here (plus Lucy who wasn't at the party).



They hover around not only their pool, but our drinking water too!  Dang geese!

I Put My Hoof Down

I had to put my hoof down with the human today.

I'm an old goat, and it was really hot.



I told her I wasn't going out to pasture to eat and demanded some hay.



You can see who sports the horns on this farm!

Of Gods and Goats

Despite the drop in temperatures today, I was really hot again this morning.  It was horrible!

Every time I went to visit with Boeris, I started shivering, and he was just ignoring me!



I can't believe it!  Well, the human said I should just forget about Boeris.  She had a better solution for me.  Then she gave me the book Of Gods and Goats by V. L. Locey.



I started reading, and it's a book about a goat farming lady and her beautiful Saanen goats and she has a pet steer.

Hay!  Is this book about my human?  Well, I haven't seen any handsome Greek gods around here, but I was feeling much warmer after reading this book!  It almost started the ice melting again.

Disclaimer:  I received a copy of this book by winning a giveaway hosted by the very nice author.  The human didn't let me have it because she wanted to read it first.  She must have liked it since she recommended it to me.  I gained nothing from this but the warmth of a romance.  I didn't even get the glass of wine.

Poor Pistol

Poor Pistol.  It's bad enough for all of us that it rained all morning.  

But poor Pistol came into heat.

She still out there in the rain again tonight.

I might not be a kid anymore, but I've still got it.

Even the human knows I've still got it.  She said I'm hot in heat!

Pam Smells Gooderest

We all be's in pasture browsing when me noticed Pam smells gooderest!  Me's not got family jewlz, but me still thinks she smells gooderst.

Me keeped browsing near her.  Soon, we be's back in barnyard.  All the other girls (cept Minnie) still be outs in pasture.

Pam be laying on the picnic table, just a sweet smelling vision. That Osmo be's lurking under the table.

Bullseye liked her smell too, and he followed hers up.  But he misses his Harley maa, so he keeped maaing for her.

She be's so sweet.  Me's in love.

Me's not get close, cuz that Osmo be closerest.  He be's scary.

Bullseye still be's hollering.  Guess he nots be so big as he thinked.

Oh, Pam.  Pam, my bee-u-tee-ful Pam...

See...she nots get away from Osmo.

"Really, boys.  Can you just go away?"

Me's human be threatening Osmo.  She be's planning on throwing him in wif me's Marley buck if he acts like this with littler girls.

Third Wheel

Dolly and Boeris were hanging out together over the weekend.

Maybe they were thinking of picnics. After all our weather was beautiful on Sunday.

Somebody was lurking around.

Boeris was lost in how wonderfully soft Dolly's fur is.

Then Somebody tried to make a move.

Boeris did not appreciate it.
