Unbearable

Are you listening to me Ms. Mother Nature?

We've had it with snow and melt and snow and melt.

The geese can practically swim through the barnyard.

Granted the barn is a little better, and the human is trying to bed it down and feed us in dry places,

but she's having a hard time finding someplace dry to feed. us.

When It Rains

When it rains, we are not very happy.  We all try to find some place to stay out of the mud.

Pam and Maisie stay on the picnic table.

Minnie and Helen found a dry spot under the tree.

I was there too.

Some goats were under the manure spreader.  Stinking human needs to finish cleaning our barn out.

Others thought the concrete would be good to keep them clean.

Cookie found a nice safe spot to lay in the barn.

We all can agree that it's much better to be clean and dry than wet and muddy.

We Get Our Barn Back

The human finally kicked Maxine and Norma Jean out of the barn.  Finally.  I must say the barn was starting to smell like cow.  Ick.

They went out to pasture to be with MJ.

Look at all that grass!

Why are we shut in up here and those cows get all that green grass.

It's not fair!  We have nothing green to eat, and we have to beg for any little nibble of green stuff.

What is the world coming to?

St. Patrick's Day

I hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day. As goats, we don't really pay attention to the calendar. When the human came out with green stuff in her hands, we got really excited. We were hoping for grass. Instead, it was torture.

"I'm posing. I'm cute.

Now can you take this off and give me a treat?"

Maggie is a show off. She'll wear any hat and enjoy it and pose.

Cookie was wearing a hat.

"Maaa!

Make Casey leave my hat alone!"

Jilly with a bow.

Minnie Pearl got to wear a hat.

"What is that?

This is what I think of this if I can't eat it!"

We hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day. If you want to see more of the human's pictures of us dressed for St. Patrick's Day, click HERE.

A Muddy Mess

We goat really dislike mud, and we stay inside as much as possible.

The geese have those rubber webbed feet, so they don't mind the mud. They actually like to play in it~silly things.

This poor chicken~

I don't think I'd go out in the mud with those fancy feathered feet.

He doesn't look to happy with it either.

Silly chickens!

Behind Fences

We're behind fences again.

You see the burrs in my beard. The human isn't even nice enough to take them out for me.

We accidentally found ourselves in the neighbor's combined corn field. The human said we were lucky we didn't kill ourselves.

Just a little upset tummy for some, but now we're all stuck in here. Big goats.

Little goats. Everyone is locked in.

All we can do is stand and stare out to pasture and wish we were there.

I wish I were out there eating green grass and leafy shrubs and ...

A Bridge

Now that we are in the Back Forty, I thought I'd show you how we get across the big ditch filled with water. We don't like water, and we don't like wading across wet ditches. We have an awesome bridge! Some goats are dignified as they step up on this huge tree that is a bridge for us.

If you don't get there first and some little Squirt is slow, you might get stuck in bad traffic.

Some goats get impatient.

There goes Flower.

Of course, Pam likes to show off how healthy and athletic she is, so she doesn't even bother taking the bridge.

Jumping or going over the tree, we try to keep our hooves dry!

When?

I want to know when. When are we going to get to go into the big pasture?

Look at all that grass!

It's so tall, and we all deserve to be over there.

When or when will we get that great tall grass?

All that playing when there's so much grass to eat?

I'd never quit eating!

More Tree Eating

I'm not the only one who likes to eat trees.

The human wasn't too happy with Annie eating this one--something about killing it. I don't know. It's yummy bark to eat.

There's also a nice wood pile to climb in and nibble around.

Heather was showing Squirt her favorite bark eating place.

Of course, Bekka and Fancy like my stump.

It's mine.

Yummy!
