Blissful Lily

Lily certainly does look like she found the perfect scratching log.

Sugar watched her and saw how blissful she looked.

She decided she should try it too.

There's nothing like scratching bliss.

When Is Lily Due?

I must say, Lily is getting awfully round.

Do you know when she's due?

Trick question.  She didn't dance the rhumba.  She's just fat big-boned!

A Word of Warning

Lily was enjoying some scrubby old cedar trees to scratch between her horns.

Minnie warned her to be careful.

If you get too close to a rose bush, it will be painful.

Don't worry, the scratch above Minnie's eye is healing quite nicely.  She's taking her own advice and avoiding rose bushes.

Three or Four Generations

Dolly and all of her descendants were just hanging out by the gate, so the human decided to take that three generation picture.

Dolly; her twins Vinnie and Pistol; Pistol's twins Clover and Coral and Vinnie's girl Victoria

She was in such a stinking hurry, she didn't notice that Lily was coming over for a four generation picture.

Lily, Dolly, Vinnie, Pistol (ducking down), Clover, Coral and Victoria

At least she got her nose in there.

Spring Means Green

We've had really warm weather. The rain came yesterday.

Today we had green. I really enjoyed eating that tender new grass.

It was very yummy.

That tree was kind of in my way.

I couldn't reach any farther.

The kids were eating with us.

Lily thought the tree was the perfect height for scratching her back while browsing under the tree.

We can't wait for the rest of the grass to turn green.

Then we'll get to eat green stuff all day long!

A Stupid Human Story

I have to correct something. I'm really embarrassed. I didn't mean for it to go this far, but my human is awfully dense. I'm here to maa the truth to you now.

It all started on the day I had my kid. The human came out early in the morning and gave Lily's twin boys each a bottle.

When she came back three hours later, I'd already had my kid and her kid. She kind of went a little loopy. She was trying to feed Lily's boys again. She was trying to keep them from bouncing on Lily.

They were butting the human's kid and my kid and trying to nurse me. She was having fits because it was chilly, so she picked one kid up and put it under the heat lamp announcing it was a boy. (That's the one I gave her.)

Then she picked up my kid and put it under the heat lamp announcing it was a girl. I was tired and didn't feel like correcting her. After all, I had just given birth. Seriously, I figured she'd notice. I just waited to see how long it would take, and then I kind of forgot about it.

Then couple of days later, she named my kid Miranda. I started thinking I should say something, but I didn't know how. After all, it had been a couple of days.

Then she asked me about her kid, and I tried telling her about Miranda, but all I could get out was, "My son..." That's when she named her kid Myson.

I didn't mean for it to go on this long. Really, it was just a, "Whatever, she'll figure it out." Then it became awkward to tell the human because it had gone on for so long. I was almost hoping she'd never notice because I didn't want her to get mad because I didn't tell her.

Luckily, after two weeks the human's mother noticed what the human had missed.

Miranda is a boy! I am thankful this whole mess is over. The human didn't get mad (just very embarrassed). I hope you aren't mad at me either.

Linking to Thankful Thursday.

Lily and the Girls

Joe's little Dot and my Miranda met Lily.

I think they like her.

She does a great job of keeping an eye on them.

I think I'm going to like having a nanny for my kid.

I hope Lily continues this way.

Lily's Boys are Naughty

Lily's boys came out to visit with us this afternoon.

They seemed to be happy to get outside and bounce around.

They got to stretch their legs and run around. Otis decided that the hay was quite yummy.

I was nice when they came over to say hi to me.

Then Miranda went to show the boys around.

I think they all had fun. I'm not sure Lily was thrilled to see her boys.

They kind of bounced on her a lot. Naughty Boys
