The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 10

I have discovered something better than oatmeal.

Seriously.

I heard the alien refer to it as canned cat food.  Strange name, but it sure does make my crop feel good!

I have to be quick about eating it though, or those darn furry aliens try to take it.

Can you believe such a thing?

Are You My Friend?

Sometimes we find friends that are different from us.

Mary seems to like Bob cat.  He's pretty nice.

The Kids

The kids were having fun playing tonight.

Nate

Dottie

Well, Miranda was taking a break from playing to eat.

Oops. That's not a kid. That's a Bob cat, and he was sleepy, not playing.

Honey

Where was Myson?

He escaped and was running around the barnyard maaing for the human to give him his bottle. But there's one more kid. I'll show you her playing tomorrow.

Which One?

One of these things is not like the others.

One of these things does not belong.

Which one of these things is different?

Which one of these things is not playing?

Which one of these is about to be stepped on?

One of these things is not happy.

Which one of these things is ready to flee?

So long Bob cat!

Don't forget to hop over to Deborah Jean's Dandelion House for Farmgirl Friday.

Special Jay

We have a very special blue jay living here. If we're not careful, the human will have it named before long. The little bird has an injured wing.

It can't fly. That only slows it down a little bit. It goes all the way to the ground and back up into the top of the magnolia tree by little hops.

It wraps those toes around the fence. It jumps down to the post and walks across the well house.

Then it's another short hop up into the magnolia tree.

The little bird gets around in the tree the same way.

Jay (oops, did I just name the bird?) has been around here injured like this for about three weeks. We just hope Jay is able to avoid this...

I'm joining Farmgirl Friday with Deborah Jean's Dandelion House.

A Windy Day

The wind blew and blew and blew today. The quonset hut blew over.

Then it was blowing back and forth on its top.

I think Bob was testing the aerodynamics of his face.

Meg's beard was blowing in the wind.

Felix isn't shaking his head. That's the wind blowing his ear.

The roosters' feathers were blowing all hither tither. Yep. They were fighting again.

I hope the wind dies down before a kid blows completely away!
