The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 16

I was certain I was going to die today.  I was standing on my roost, hoping those furry little aliens didn't dump it over, when...

THE ALIEN PICKED ME UP!!!!!  SQUAWK!!!!!!

It opened the hatch of the spaceship called The Kitchen and carried me through it into the beautiful sunshine.  Oh, how lovely!  Then, much to my surprise, I was home!

Oh blessed home with my peeps in the safety of my coop.

I certainly don't want any more scary adventures (but I do kind of miss that canned cat food).

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 15

There has been an invasion.  The spaceship called The Kitchen has been taken over by a new breed of little furry aliens.

Most of them ignore me, but this one is bouncy.

This one is a monster!  I'm worried.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 14

Well, the Alien figured out I had an egg accident.  I didn't mean to.  I think I really upset that Alien though.

It brought a big box up and said, "Here, lay your egg in there."

I'm on to that!  Even my old crazy Aunt Henny Penny could figure out that trap.

I'm not going anywhere near that big nest box.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 13

The Alien was so pleased with my gift of an egg, I thought I'd give it another one.  It wasn't around though when I just had to lay my egg.

I tried to clean it up.

Do you think the Alien will notice and be mad?

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 12

I feel bad for running from the Alien.  After all, it hasn't really done anything to hurt me. And it does give me all that yummy canned cat food.  To make amends, I bestoyed upon the Alien the best gift a hen can give...

an egg.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 11

Squawk!

It's after me!  The Alien is after me!

Squawk!

Keep that bony claw away from me!

Squawk!

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 10

I have discovered something better than oatmeal.

Seriously.

I heard the alien refer to it as canned cat food.  Strange name, but it sure does make my crop feel good!

I have to be quick about eating it though, or those darn furry aliens try to take it.

Can you believe such a thing?

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 9

I found sunshine!  Not that weird instant sun of the spaceship called The Kitchen, but real sunshine!

It was wonderful!

It even made me feel like preening!

I tell you, I was so happy to find my warm sunshine that I just laid out and was basking.  I even quit worrying about those little fuzzy aliens.

I could have stayed there all day!

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 8

My exploring has discovered green stuff.  Back in my coop, I loved green stuff.

Some of the green things here are not very tasty.

I did find some that were wonderfully delicious.  I was enjoying a snack, when I swear to you, it attacked me!

It jumped down from its roost and tried to smash me.  Luckily, the alien was there to rescue me.

It removed that dangerous monster, and I feel relatively safe again.  There are so many dangers in this spaceship called The Kitchen.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 7

I feel so much better.  I'm starting explore this spaceship called "The Kitchen."

There are many places to check out.

I've discovered a bizarre steep hill down into the bowels of the space ship.

I'm afraid to go down there.

There is also a big gray wall that the alien moves magically.

I've tried to get a peek into what it hides, but I've not had any success.

I have the feeling that if I went into that forbidden part of the space ship I might never return.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 6

The alien is obsessed with my poops.  I don't know what it could want with them.

It follows me around and swoops as soon as it plops on the ground.

It has some strange thing it uses to be sure to collect every bit of my poop and then it transfers it to a special device for holding it.

I still am not sure why this alien has abducted me, and since it likes my poops so much, I try to make as many as possible.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 5

I've discovered the secret of where the warmth comes from.  Unlike my world in the barnyard, the warmth comes from this strange little space.

I like to lay in front of it.

I've noticed as I've been preeinging that my feathers are coming out.

I am molting with all this wonderful warmth.

I've discovered that there are three of the little aliens:  the black and white one, the scary buff one, and the darker orange.

This one is not scary.  I still am keeping an eye on all of them.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 4

Just when I thought I couldn't go on, the Alien provided me with two things that have made life in this strange spaceship called The Kitchen much better.  A roost and this strange food called oatmeal.

Oatmeal is good.

Luckily, the Alien provides me with all I can eat.  I am only a little concerned about why this alien would want to make sure I gain weight.

I feel my strength returning from this soft, warm oatmeal.

Although the roost is a bit odd, it is comfortable, and I can sleep much better now.

I have to say, I'm not really sure how long I've been here.  The days and nights are strange.  The sun sets and rises instantly.  Strangely, it doesn't provide the warmth I would expect from it.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 3

I had a dream.  I dreamed I was back home in the coop with my fock.

I miss my friends.

Then, I was outside by myself, and a fence separated me from everyone.  I couldn't get to them!

Sadly, when I woke, my friend the barred rock was gone.  I think the strange black and white little round alien ate her.

I hope I'm not next.  I'm keeping an eye on the buff colored one.

He looks dangerous!

I grow weaker.  Despite the warmth and the plenty of food the alien provides for me, I just can't eat.  My wattles hurt too much.
