Jack

Jack was fighting with Marley. It wasn't smart since Marley's horns are tougher than Jack's polled noggin.
His fur is starting to grow back, but I'm afraid he'll be frostbit before long. Silly goat.

I'm thinking of asking the human to shear the llama and let me try my hand at knitting.

My retirement plan!

Retirement and Giveaway

I've been trying to decide how to spend my retirement. After all, Bambi is growing up and won't need her Maaa as much anymore.

I'm thinking about taking up knitting. It's not that I really want to, but I did notice that Jack seems to really need a nice knitted cap for the winter.

Why on earth would he butt heads with Marley when he doesn't have horns to protect that skull? I might have to think about that hobby thing a bit more.

The human is hosting a giveaway on her blog. She made a calendar for Eden Hills, and someone is going to win one. Visit her blog HERE for all the details and to enter.

The Course of True Love

Maggie wandered down to the boys' pen this morning. She was all flirty and flicking her tail. Marley had to pull Jack aside to say, "Dude, she's my sister!"

Nothing, not even a big brother, can stand in the way of true love.

Isn't that sweet?

Billy Goat Revenge

The human has been very mean to the big boys lately. They still come to see her when she brings their dinner. Marley still jumps on the fence to greet her and see what's in the pitcher. Jack still tries to get his head in the pitcher to eat from it.

Recently, however, the human has been mean. She's been saying, "Go away. You stink." That's not very nice is it? She jumps away from them and won't even pat them on the head like she used to.

Today, they decided that they would get back at her. Marley got in front; Jack was in back. She couldn't step forward away from Jack; she couldn't step away from Marley. Then they really got into it, a contest to see who could push their face against her more. Oh you should have seen her jump and bounce. She was shrieking and yelling.

It's a good thing she didn't see them raise their front feet and give each other a "high hoof". They were proud of themselves, and she was still muttering about stinking like a billy goat when she came out to give Flower and Bud their bottles.
