Misty is telling quite the tale tonight. I don't really pay attention to her because she is Scarlet's triplet. She's the one that had an entropion eyelid and is just a bit puny. Well, she disappeared for a while this afternoon while it was so unbearably hot. Like I say, I didn't notice because I was hot underneath the oak tree with my own kids.
Anyhow, Misty showed up again at supper time and started talking about that big white barn on the other side of the fence. The one with all the windows where the human goes all the time. She said she went inside it, and it was so cool and easy to breathe in there. It wasn't like breathing in a hot water bath.
Oh, the other kids were just listening to her tales of a big fat black and white cat. She said it was almost laying on top of her and she sniffed noses with it. She said the big black barky dog was in there. There was still a fence between them, but it was a weird little fence.
She said she was very brave being in there all by herself. She called out to see if her mom or brother or sister could hear her, but nobody answered her--just the human. It was the human who had taken her and just kept her there and then brought her home. Silly if you ask me. Who actually believes stories of humans abducting kids?
Those kids and their tales.

Misty is such a pretty girl. What a good girl to do what the human said. She was rewarded with cool air. That's a treat!
