The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 16

I was certain I was going to die today.  I was standing on my roost, hoping those furry little aliens didn't dump it over, when...

THE ALIEN PICKED ME UP!!!!!  SQUAWK!!!!!!

It opened the hatch of the spaceship called The Kitchen and carried me through it into the beautiful sunshine.  Oh, how lovely!  Then, much to my surprise, I was home!

Oh blessed home with my peeps in the safety of my coop.

I certainly don't want any more scary adventures (but I do kind of miss that canned cat food).

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 14

Well, the Alien figured out I had an egg accident.  I didn't mean to.  I think I really upset that Alien though.

It brought a big box up and said, "Here, lay your egg in there."

I'm on to that!  Even my old crazy Aunt Henny Penny could figure out that trap.

I'm not going anywhere near that big nest box.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 13

The Alien was so pleased with my gift of an egg, I thought I'd give it another one.  It wasn't around though when I just had to lay my egg.

I tried to clean it up.

Do you think the Alien will notice and be mad?

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 12

I feel bad for running from the Alien.  After all, it hasn't really done anything to hurt me. And it does give me all that yummy canned cat food.  To make amends, I bestoyed upon the Alien the best gift a hen can give...

an egg.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 11

Squawk!

It's after me!  The Alien is after me!

Squawk!

Keep that bony claw away from me!

Squawk!

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 10

I have discovered something better than oatmeal.

Seriously.

I heard the alien refer to it as canned cat food.  Strange name, but it sure does make my crop feel good!

I have to be quick about eating it though, or those darn furry aliens try to take it.

Can you believe such a thing?

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 6

The alien is obsessed with my poops.  I don't know what it could want with them.

It follows me around and swoops as soon as it plops on the ground.

It has some strange thing it uses to be sure to collect every bit of my poop and then it transfers it to a special device for holding it.

I still am not sure why this alien has abducted me, and since it likes my poops so much, I try to make as many as possible.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 3

I had a dream.  I dreamed I was back home in the coop with my fock.

I miss my friends.

Then, I was outside by myself, and a fence separated me from everyone.  I couldn't get to them!

Sadly, when I woke, my friend the barred rock was gone.  I think the strange black and white little round alien ate her.

I hope I'm not next.  I'm keeping an eye on the buff colored one.

He looks dangerous!

I grow weaker.  Despite the warmth and the plenty of food the alien provides for me, I just can't eat.  My wattles hurt too much.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 2

I've finally warmed up, and the sleep did me a world of good.  I take the time to look around a bit more.  This spaceship called The Kitchen is a strange place, but it is warm.

I'm delighted to find food.

There's water too.

My wattles are warming up, and the pain is incredible.  Or maybe it's some form of alien torture.

It hurts too bad to eat much.

I ponder what the Alien might want with me.  I do hope I make it back to the barnyard, back to my flock.  I'm still tired.  I'll try to find a way home tomorrow.  Now, I must rest.

The Adventures of Kitchen Chicken: Day 1

My name is Honey.  I'm a buff cochin hen that lived happily at Eden Hills.  Then I was abducted by an alien.

Let me tell you what happened.  I was in the barn; it was horribly cold.  I was freezing my wattles and comb.  When I could no longer fight the sleep, I was sure I would wake to find myself at the Rainbow Bridge.  Instead, I was abducted by an Alien and taken aboard its spaceship.

Beside me was my friend the barred rock hen.  It was clean and white and warm, this spaceship the alien kept referring to as "The Kitchen."  There were other strange creatures.  The black and white one checked out my black and white friend.

The orange one stared at me.

It made me nervous, but I was too tired and weak to try and flee.

I gave in to sleep.
