A Stressful Day

My dear little girl has had a sore eye. It got worse this morning, and the human came and took her. When she brought her back to me, she had eye jewelry.

On both sides, the vet put eye clips.

I guess that was okay because she isn't crying anymore. She was sleeping so soundly with her nephew/brother~Joe's boy.

I was a bit concerned though because I couldn't get to her. Lily was hogging the heat lamp, and the two kids were behind her.

Joe and I had to maa to the human, so she would retrieve our kids for us.

I'm glad the human got my girl for me.

I have never seen this. What are they eye clips for? I hope your sweet little girl's eyes get better!

Her bottom eyelids were curled in making the lashes scratch her eyes. It's very painful, but the clips make it feel better. By the time the clips fall off in about a week, they should stay out.

Oh, poor thing... and poor mama - having her baby taken away. Glad to hear that this will resolve itself quickly.

Ooo! Your daughter is very cute! My lady just sighs when she looks at her! The kids look so content snuggled there under that warm lamp!

Oh look at those two cute kids. Mille, that was very brave of you to have kids. Glad the human rescued the little girl from the other goat. We love watching baby goats grow up. Take care.

this is quite common with Cotswolds as they are so wooly.
We had three lambs a few years ago that the vet put a couple of stitches in to hold the lids out.
One other tip that you might want to know is he recommended special formula 17900-Forte Suspension mastitis cream,(not sure if you can get it)we added one drop to the eye three times a day,it really helped.
seems strange to put mastitis cream in the eye but it totally works.
you will see much improvement with the clips!
