I have to correct something. I'm really embarrassed. I didn't mean for it to go this far, but my human is awfully dense. I'm here to maa the truth to you now.
It all started on the day I had my kid. The human came out early in the morning and gave Lily's twin boys each a bottle.
When she came back three hours later, I'd already had my kid and her kid. She kind of went a little loopy. She was trying to feed Lily's boys again. She was trying to keep them from bouncing on Lily.
They were butting the human's kid and my kid and trying to nurse me. She was having fits because it was chilly, so she picked one kid up and put it under the heat lamp announcing it was a boy. (That's the one I gave her.)
Then she picked up my kid and put it under the heat lamp announcing it was a girl. I was tired and didn't feel like correcting her. After all, I had just given birth. Seriously, I figured she'd notice. I just waited to see how long it would take, and then I kind of forgot about it.
Then couple of days later, she named my kid Miranda. I started thinking I should say something, but I didn't know how. After all, it had been a couple of days.
Then she asked me about her kid, and I tried telling her about Miranda, but all I could get out was, "My son..." That's when she named her kid Myson.
I didn't mean for it to go on this long. Really, it was just a, "Whatever, she'll figure it out." Then it became awkward to tell the human because it had gone on for so long. I was almost hoping she'd never notice because I didn't want her to get mad because I didn't tell her.
Luckily, after two weeks the human's mother noticed what the human had missed.
Miranda is a boy! I am thankful this whole mess is over. The human didn't get mad (just very embarrassed). I hope you aren't mad at me either.
Linking to Thankful Thursday.

oh my goodness! so miranda needs to be myron!
ReplyDeleteTee hee hee! Oops!
ReplyDeleteYes, Myron sounds good TexWis!
ReplyDeleteHeehee, honest mistake for us dense humans!
Sometimes our humans are just plain silly. We still love them though...
ReplyDeleteMiranda or Myron it is still a cute kid
*giggles* Oh Millie, humans do get a little stressed out at times and they completely overlook really obvious stuff, like...dangling parts. It's a good thing that your lady doesn't overlook other stuff, like feeding you well and taking good care of you and all the other goats. It's the price you have to pay for interacting with humans...you goats are just the smarter ones sometimes. ;-)
ReplyDeleteoops! Oh well; just one of those human things. I did that with a kitten for 6 months.
ReplyDeleteLol! Well..the Human did have a lot going on with kids being born and Lillie's sickness...
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Tell your human not to feel too bad, I made that mistake with Madeline when she was born, I thought she was a boy (hey, she had wattles like her daddy, I was sooo inexperienced)...until I noticed her peeing one day!!
ReplyDeleteNow you have a girl named Joe and a boy named Miranda. Perfect really!
ReplyDeleteToo Funny! But it happens, lol
