Chasing Winter Away

I was very unhappy when it started snowing again.  Really, it's May.  We should not have rainy snowy slush falling from the sky.

But it did.  It kept falling and falling and falling.

Our whole world was covered in snow again.  It was cold and miserable.

I was very unhappy with this and complained to the human.  She said she knew how to warm things up again.  She brought me this wonderful book, Heroes and Hay Bales by V. L. Locey.

I looked it over.  I sniffed it over.

Then I started reading about Libby and her hunky god boyfriend, Ares.  She tells all about her life with gods dropping in and hanging out on her Pennsylvania farm while they travel the world and underworld to save it from the evil Hades.

I'm glad I don't have to share my barn with a minotaur, but I do think that cute Pan and I could make sweet music together.  He would play his pipes and I'd play my horns.  Awww, Pan...

Well, it worked.  The story heated things up and melted all our snow away!

I'm a happy goat again!

Disclaimer:  I did not get anything for doing this review other than the warmth of a romance story and sweet dreams about the delightful goat god, Pan.   Awww, Pan...

The human wouldn't even let me eat the book when I was done with it.

Waiting

There is not much going on around here. It just seems like we are waiting.

We are waiting for the pasture to turn green.

We are waiting for the mud to go away.

We are waiting for the babies to come.

Just waiting...

and chewing on the fence.

Getting Bare

The ground is getting bare. There's even less snow now than when this picture was taken.

We went out into the pasture. It's warm.

I really hope it starts to dry off now because we are not enjoying the mud.

The human needs to apologize for my beautiful Valentine's Day post being in the wrong order. She blames it on her computer at work, but I think she messed up. Anyhow, because it is so cute, here's Marley and Jilly again.

Is it any wonder they made such an adorable baby last year. Do you think there's any chance the human won't keep their daughter if they have one this year?

Groundhog Day

Happy Groundhog Day! According to Phil, spring is just around the corner, and that makes me really happy.

This isn't Phil, but we got to meet this groundhog a couple of summers ago. He wasn't having a very good day.

He was chased away from the human's house and into our barnyard by the dogs. Poor guy just sat there for the longest time. The human was taking his picture. The dogs kept barking. The geese were hissing.

Then some weird salesman guy came waltzing into the barnyard and found the human doing chores. She deftly led him back out. On the way, he noticed the poor groundhog cowering there, so the human explained about his bad day.

Just as she was explaining about the dogs, here they came. Hee hee. The salesman about panicked realizing he had just walked unattended through the yard with two big dogs.

Do I look ready for spring? I sure hope Phil is right.
