Island

We had rain this weekend, so it's all muddy.  Meg seems to have found a food pan island in the midst of the mud.

Well, maybe not quite.  At least she's keeping her hooves dry.

We didn't have to eat grain soup for supper either, since the human dumped them to dry out.

Doe

I finally got my blog back from that silly Myson.

This is Vixen's little girl Doe.  She's awfully cute.

She looks cozy in that food pan, but something seems wrong here.  Where was the food pan?

On the bucket in front of the milking stanchion.

She's quite talented.

Here comes her maa.

She is checking to see if Doe was hiding some of that sweet feed in the pan.

Nope.

No sweet feed and no Doe.

Cinnamon at the Top of the PIle

The human had all our food pans in a big pile. Silly human.

Cinnamon was checking them out.

I think she was hoping to find something good to eat in all of them.

It was a bit tricky walking around and she about slipped.

Finally, she found what she was looking for.

Lucky Cinnamon!

Going, Going...

MUD. (Thought this was going to be a New Year's post didn't you. Goats don't follow a calendar.)

With our warm weather, the snow that the geese were happily bathing in has disappeared.

In it's place is mud. At least it uncovered the missing food pans!

Maybe my Pebbles won't have to share a feed pan with Kizzy and Dixie now.

The pasture was cleared of most of the snow and we could go out for some exercise!

Unfortunately, there wasn't much good to eat out there. Glad the human gives us hay!

The warm weather has also left some of the younger does feeling a bit rowdy! Annie was trying to engage my Joe in a barnyard brawl. Joe is too much of a lady (and big and strong) to fight.

Look at those girls fight. Silly Dolly and Maggie!

Little spotted Dolly managed to push Maggie clear across the barnyard.

Of course, she was just sliding in the muddy icy slush.

Jilly was having a go at it, too.

This is why you should not fight in the mud.

Oh, yeah! Hope you have a great 2011!
