Goats on the Move

There's been lots of moving around here. It started with Fionn. The human noticed that he was awfully glum being in the Love Shack by himself. He was doing his best to find something green to eat, but it didn't help him cheer up.

So the human decided to try and put him with his daddy, Marley, and Boeris. She wasn't sure how they would react, so she went in to keep an eye on Fionn. Boeris wanted to pick on him, so the human rushed to rescue him, but she was too slow.

Marley was there to defend his boy. The human was afraid Fionn would get caught between Boeris picking on him and Marley defending him, so he's back to being alone, but he's right next to the big boys. He looks much happier.

Well, that meant the Love Shack was empty. That's good because I thought I was going to have to take things into my own hooves. After Pam had her baby, she decided she wanted to kill my sweet Bambi. Luckily, the human divided the pen so Pam couldn't hurt my baby girl. Something is wrong with this picture though.

Pam's daughter, Maisie, kept coming in with Bambi. That kept Pam irritated and upset, and she was still beating on the panels and her stress kept her from getting her milk in.

That Maisie is a smart girl, however, and she was nursing my Bambi. That's not good. That's for Bambi's babies, so the human moved Pam and Maisie into the Love Shack. Pam is much calmer, and she's doing better at feeding her kid.

Then, she opened the big door on the back side of the pen where Pam and Bambi were at.

I like that because those girls left a lot of hay in there that I get to snack on now.

Bambi is happy to be out with me again. She still hasn't had her babies. I guess she takes after me with going over her due date.

And just to make things more confusing, the human has moved her baby, Myson, into this pen with us too.

How's that for goats on the move?

What Did You Call Her?

Remember that Maddy was in the north pen with her mom and Bekka had been up there too. Well, the human kicked them out. Maddy was back in there today.

My girl Bambi went up there to visit her friend/half-sister Maddy. Flower snuck in to eat food.

I am very upset with the human. She kicked all the girls out, but my sweet little Bambi is very shy. She didn't want the human to touch her.

I thought it was kind of cute to see them running in circles around the big metal thing. My little girl is so lithe and nimble and the human was clunking and huffing and puffing behind her.
Then...I can't believe what I heard. I'm too much of a lady to repeat what that human called my little girl. Bambi wasn't amused either, so she quit playing and came running to me, her Maaaaaa.

Moving Around

So much for nothing going on. The human shook things up and moved some of us around. She put the boys back together down south.

Doesn't Flash look like he's outgrowing his daddy, Jack?

All of us girls had to have our little spats. The human doesn't like it when we fight.

She was quick to put some of the very pregnant ladies in safe places where they can't fight. Up north, she put Stormy, Litha and Kizzy. Finally, she kicked Maddy out, so Litha didn't have to worry about her daughter while she was getting ready to have her new babies.

Bekka snuck in, and Kizzy doesn't look too happy about her eating the hay.

Helen was still trying to pick fights after Annie and Sallie were put in a safe place.

Helen and Annie were having too much fun.

Sally and Annie are in the Love Shack. They aren't too happy about it.

Pistol and Vinnie were happy to be out of the Love Shack and with their mamma. Vinnie had fun kicking up her heels and running around.

Several of the girls are still out with everyone, but the human is working on pens so they can have privacy when they give birth.

Lots of changes today!
