Things have really been happening here. It's cooler and rainy. I'm still trying to figure out when I want to have kids. I did get to go spend the afternoon in the shed Cutie and Pam had shared because we had a lot of rain, thunder and lightening. The human didn't like us in the metal hut under the tree, so she moved us. Now I'm back to laying in the hut under the tree.
Scarlet has finally brought her triplets outside. Right after the human trimmed her hooves, she opened the gate for them to come out. They are certainly going to keep Scarlet on her toes. Good thing her feet are in better shape now.
She has one little girl with a bad eye. She's washing it with garlic water and putting a salve in it, so it is looking better. Maybe she got something in it when she was born. It's more likely that the lid was turned in. The vet said to make sure she pulled that lower lid out when she put the salve in, and it might be enough to correct it; otherwise, she'd have to have a clip put on it to correct the problem.
We have someone to watch over all the kids. It started with Mabel and her babies. Now, he watches and follows and looks after all the kids. It's kind of weird really.
Muffin's girls look much better now that they are dry and fluffy. They are two girls. Neither one has obvious horn buds, but we'll just have to wait a few days to see for sure. They both have wattles, just like their mom. Muffin hasn't brought them out yet, but she did have to share the building with them during the rain storm.
Here's Bob. He's always hanging out with us in the barnyard. He better not go near Muffin's girls because she tries to kill anything that comes near her babies: cats, geese... I hope the rooster doesn't try to check on her kids.
Last night, Litha decided to have her babies. She had twins. This one arrived first, and is a little girl.
Next came this little boy. The human said they arrived at 2:00 am. I wouldn't know because I was sleeping.
