The Gold Stamp of Approval

I'm so excited! Gold and her human, Tayet, have chosen to give me an award: "The Gold Stamp of Approval."

Here are the rules.
  • If you are awarded The Gold Stamp of Approval, you must tell everyone 3 silly things about your goats.
  • Link to your favorite goat or farm blogs and add a nice tidbit about why you like them!
  • Please make a link back to the person you received the award from.
  • Inform the award receiver that they have an award, by comment on their latest post or email.
  • Have fun!
Well, I am not a silly goat. I am a wise goat, but I will try.

1. My human makes me wear these silly horn casts. She says it's because of my head-banging music. I can't help it. I have to play the music that is in my horns/heart.

2. We like to browse in the pasture, but that darn human doesn't do a very good job of letting us know where our pasture ends. (Oops.)

3. My twin sister, Minnie, is such a good milking nanny that she's still a milking nanny even though she's retired from having kids.

Now to pass this on to my goat friends.

I have to pass this on to...

Mimi and her borrowed goat Darla at The Goat Borrower. It's kind of like they are a part of our herd since Fionn (our young buck) is engaged to Darla. They're suffering through a long distance relationship.

Claire and Lucky Nickel at Whispering Acres. Claire gave us our four mini-friends (aka Chupacabra bait). Lucky Nickel is truly the queen of her new Canadian home.

The Real Diagnosis

Minnie Pearl here again. Can't believe this is what my sister wants me to write about, but here it goes.

Lucky Nickel lives with Claire, and while she is a beautiful white goat, she seems to be a silly kid. She thinks that Millie, instead of anemia has a-knee-mic that was inserted into her knee during an alien abduction. (I can't believe this is the stuff Millie writes about. Is she just trying to make me look like a fool?) You can read all about Lucky Nickel's diagnosis of Millie at Claire's blog, Whispering Acres. You can also read more about Lucky Nickel's driving lesson.

Lucky Nickel of Whispering Acres
You might think this is crazy, goats being abducted by aliens, but there seems to be some other cases being reported in Blogland. For example, Marigold, from Goat Philosophy 101 seems to have been abducted by aliens also. They must have done some other experiment on her because she has a lop-sided udder instead of having been implanted with a-knee-mic.

Of course, I did not believe any of this malarky, so I asked Millie about it. She agrees that these are just silly kid's tales. Then she told me I had to go check out what Michelle at Goat Berries posted about. It was the nasty Chupacabra, a monster that sucks the blood from goats, leaving them dead.

Yep, that's what Millie told me. She said that the dreaded Chupacabra came to our farm in Iowa and attacked. That's why she's anemic. She said she is expecting to win the President's Medal of Honor for her bravery above the call of duty. She single hoofedly fought off the Chupacabra, and she's lucky she escaped with her life. If it were not for her heroics, the entire herd would have had their life blood sucked dry.

That's why she is anemic. That's why she's on vacation, resting and eating, and I'm here writing all this baloney.

Millie, the Chupacabra warrior of Eden Hills

She seriously owes me big time after this. I think I should be getting some sweet feed for this. By the way, I personally think the Chupacabra is a two-headed monster that looks like this, and it's not blood it sucks either.

Millie!!!!!!!!!!! I'm quitting if you make me do anything like this again!!!!!!!
