Lucky goat. I'm a lucky goat. Recently, I've won a couple of giveaways. First, I won a barbecue giveaway from Christi at Life on our Iowa Farm. It had all kinds of wonderful things that goats don't get, but my human liked. We argued about the frisbee. She said my kids would just eat it. Then I thought it looked like a perfect corn dish. She let me try that out.
I thought it was perfect. Minnie was jealous. She was waiting for a chance to sneak in and eat my corn, but I got every last bit.
Then when I was headed out to pasture the human hollered for me to come back. She had something else for me. She called it pink lemonade. It also came in the BBQ giveaway. I wasn't too sure about it, so I gave it a quick cautious lap.
It was actually pretty good! I'm going to have to make sure I get the rest of that pink lemonade. After all, I am the lucky goat.
I was even trying to lick the bowl out. Do you know how hard it is to drink a bowl of pink lemonade when your kids are nursing?
Actually, it's not that hard because they aren't too big yet. Thank you Christi!
Well, if that doesn't tell you what a lucky goat I am, this will definitely convince you. The second giveaway I won was two lovely glass plates that came from Jaz at October Farm. Jaz is such a nice lady that she even told my human to be sure and serve me apple slices and carrot coins.
Aren't those plates lovely? Well, after the yummy lemonade, I was ready to go out to pasture when she called me back again.
I went over to see what she had this time, and it was one of my favorites--apples slices. Of course, Beau followed me back, but I just kept munching.
That wasn't all! I still had the carrots.
Then I was done with all the food. How lucky am I? Thank you Jaz! Well, the human got it in her little human brain that I'm so lucky I should buy a lottery ticket. I told her I really didn't think it would be convenient for me to go to the store, but I'd be happy for her to buy me one. I thought the paper might taste good too.
She insisted that I was the lucky one. I offered to give her some lucky goat pellets to put in her pocket, but she didn't think that sounded convenient to her. Finally, she settled for rubbing my lucky, musical horns.
Really, by now I just wanted to go out to pasture, but she wasn't finished. She insisted that just like the Irish kiss the Blarney Stone, she should kiss her "lucky Millie goat". Personally, I think she's full of Blarney, but I am also a patient goat.
So after the lucky horn rubbing and kissing, she went to the convenience store and bought me a ticket. I didn't even get to eat the ticket, but she says I'll be a millionaire goat very soon. What should I do with all my millions? I know. I'll demand apple slices and carrot coins with pink lemonade every day!
