Naughty Rooster Boy and his two hens were free ranging. The human has been a bit worried about the girls because they were inside and she couldn't get them much food. (I don't know why she thinks we wouldn't share grain with them).
They've been out a bit more, but they still didn't get nice bright combs like Naughty Rooster Boy. (His isn't as bright as it sometimes is.)
Then a couple of days ago, the phoenix just strolled into the duck, chicken and peafowl pen~her old home where the raccoon attacks occurred.
She seemed quite content.
Naughty Rooster Boy and the other hen would hang around, but the human couldn't ever get them to go in. Yesterday morning when she came out before sunrise to milk Minnie, Rooster Boy was just sitting on the ground by the pen. She scooped him up and put him inside.
Then she found the little orange hen. She is very thin and pale. You can't see how thin she is, but when the human picked her up, she was just skin and bones.
We hope she'll be okay.

poor little stressed out birdies... get strong and healthy!
The human goes on and on about how bad stress is for birds. Does she think it's good for ME????
Awww.... I hope they get better soon, poor dears!
Oh! I hope they feel better soon! Naughty Rooster Boy looks rather deflated. He'll perk up soon and be annoying you just like he used to!
Hope they feel better soon. They will perk up with grain. Cracked corn makes our chickens very happy.
Time to fatten up chickies, winter will be here soon!
I saw the human carry not only cracked corn into their building but also 22% meat bird crumbles. That should fatten her up!
I hope they perk up very soon. Sad chickens are not well, happy.
I am a tired goat today.
Pricilla, I hope you're just tired from running around and not under the weather. Hope you get rested.
Poor chickens, hope they get some good weight on them soon!
