I'm Embarrassed

I have had a hard time keeping up with two kids, one of whom permanently is attached to me. I have big healthy babies, but I admit, I am not in my best condition.

The human keeps milking Jilly and Minnie and letting them eat extra, but they don't need the extra food. Dare I say they are almost fat.

She has brought me a bit of sweet goat feed, and it's so yummy that I just gobble it down.

Tonight, Cutie was trying to get MY extra feed, so I was eating as fast as I could. I choked.

The human tried giving me the Heimlich. I'm not sure if she saved my life or it was just my coughing and sputtering, but I was very happy to start breathing again.

Can you give a goat the Heimlich? The human was very scared. She was not very happy with me, and I am very embarrassed. She said I had to admit to my behaviors as my punishment.

  1. Oh my, how scary for all of you! So glad everyone is OK...or is the human OK?! Please pass along my best regards and my admiration for such quick thinking!

  2. Oh my! I'm so glad your human was around to assist. I wonder if you'd eat your grain with a wee bit of moist beet pulp in it to help things slide down? That's what my lady gives to the skinny LaMancha boys. She makes it fairly slurpy and then they don't choke.

  5. We're all better. This morning she let me in the milking area when she was done so I didn't have to eat so fast to keep everyone else away. That way I could eat like the lady I am.

  6. Hi Millie ~ Stop being a piggie (LOL). Seriously , it happens to all of us at least once in life , so don't be embarrassed , just slow down and be careful. I'm sure it was scary for the human though.

  7. Millie..oh my. Abby is like that too. You must slow down. There will always be grain. I know this. The publicist always makes sure I have grain even if the other piggie goats eat it all first. I am sure your human will do the same
